It was a little after four in the afternoon and he was the only one in the house. His family was scattered around. His mom was either at the office, or on her way home from it. He had no idea where Zoe was. Mikey was playing at a friend's house, he thought. His mom would probably know what he was doing or which friend it was. Or he could be at that after school program.
