Sure, she said that she was helping out her mom, but that didn't mean that he still couldn't hang out for a little while. Maybe after Karyn got done with whatever she was doing, they could go to the mall or something. There was a new game he wanted to try out at the arcade. But before Jon even got out the door, he was stopped by his mother (Jane). She was still dressed in her professional office attire. Apparently, she had just gotten home from work.
