Zoe booted up her computer and slipped on her headphones. If mom wanted quiet, fine, she could deal. She stopped to make sure her door was locked, then logged on. She smiled as the she surfed. As a goth, Zoe embraced alternative views on what was attractive. Since ten or so she had been disgusted by the typical barbie princess garbage and the boring Abercrombie models her classmates went crazy for. Her love of the different led her to find extremes in fashion and, with internet access, porn. Now she regularly browsed fetish sites filled with models dressed in leather and latex and rubber, all skin-tight and sexy. There was no way Zoe could afford an outfit like the girls she admired (and in some cases lusted after) but she hoped to someday have a closet full of them. The bold colors, shiny material, and overt eroticism of the pictures she found soon had her breathing heavy and gently caressing herself. A knock on the door jerked her back to reality. She shakily minimized the browser before answering, "What?" "Dinner's in five, sweetie," her mother called through the door. "Okay Mom!" she called back. Zoe reopened the window and sighed.
