It looked bigger than the one she had had as Jon. "I . . . is that what I think it is!?" Joan hissed in a voice that was still many times more feminine than she would prefer. Fidgeting, Karyn nodded slowly. "If I had to guess? Yeah. The question now, though, is why?" Joan looked at herself – and her new "friend" – in the mirror, wracking her brain about what it might mean. Before too long, she got a sinking sensation in her stomach as a truly terrible idea occurred to her. "Karyn," Joan whispered. "Could you, um, turn away for a second? I have to check something." Karyn smirked but did so, facing toward her bed so that she couldn't see what Joan was doing. Joan made an aggravated sound when she discovered that her clamdiggers didn't seem to have a button and zipper, but she grabbed the front of the waist and lowered them down to reveal satiny girl's underwear that felt right to her altered mind but made what was still Jon want to spit in disgust.
