Linda asked, not seeing anything. "The mist...the weird light show..." The Cloud had attached itself to Zoe. But that didn't mean it would change Zoe. It had plenty of time for that. It would change all around her. "Light show...Zoe, what the fuck are you talking about? Did someone slip you something?" Zoe frowned suddenly. Her mother never cursed. She was about to respond when she noticed that her mother was suddenly changing before her eyes...she could see her skin smoothing, growing paler, and her hair darkening to black. And she seemed to be growing younger. Her mother was rapidly turning into...well...her. She looked more and more like Zoe by the second. Before long, another Goth teenager stood there...not an identical twin, but close enough to be unnerving. "Come on," her mother said. "Let's get to bed before we wake anyone up."
