She didn't recognize the woman's voice and she didn't know anyone by the name of Donovan, and she had no idea what the woman was talking about. "Karyn? Are you still there?" "Yes," she said, She needed to play along...at least until she could find Jon and get some answers. "I know I promised you the day off, after all the extra hours you put in last week, but I'll make it up to all of you." "I'll be right in," Karyn found herself promising, even though she didn't know where work was, or what work was...or even why she was saying it. "I knew I picked the right woman for this job when I promoted you, Karyn. You always come through for us." There was a click. Karyn looked at the phone. She found a daily calendar on it.
