Apparently, her mother was busy sewing a word into the front of the dress. It looked like a very sloppy attempt to sew her name on the front. Her mother was many things, but not sloppy. "I'm not wearing that," Zoe insisted. "But...it was a surprise for you..." her mother said, pouting. "Mom!! Snap out of it." Her mother looked confused again. "You want to be good, Zoe.
