But then the smile faltered when she saw how the baby was looking at her. There was intelligence and understanding there. It took her a moment to realize what must have happened. She wished that the baby would think like her ... and that's exactly what was happening! As bizarre as it sounded, Jonnie's baby had her mind. She briefly considered whether or not she should use the stone to rapidly age her baby to a more mature age. Since the baby had the mind of a teenager, it only seemed fair.
