Jon Belongs in Zoe's Room?

Jon turned suddenly and opened the door to his Goth sister Zoe's bedroom, but the room was unoccupied. A lot of the same gothic furnishings and belongings were there, but no Zoe.

He walked into the room, feeling suddenly "at home" there, even though he had no idea why. The few times he had actually been in Zoe's room, he always felt uncomfortable and maybe slightly disturbed. But now, he didn't feel like that at all. He felt like he belonged here. Why was he feeling like this?
