But then an idea occurred to her. Maybe she wasn't as trapped in here as she thought. Her mom was still Goth. Maybe she could convince her to let her out. She grabbed her cellphone and called the house. A moment later, she heard someone answer. "Mom?" "Yeah, Zoe? Did you go somewhere? I thought you were still here." "I am. Jon locked me in my bedroom and I can't get out." "How did he do that?" she asked. "It doesn't matter. Come upstairs and let me out." "I'll be right there. That boy can be such a fucking asshole sometimes." Then her mother hung up. Zoe smiled. Soon she'd be out of her confinement. | |
