The door opened, revealing his mother. "Oh, hi...We'll be ready to go in just a minute," she said, with a friendly smile. "Oh...umm...okay," Jon said. Linda Madison stepped aside to admit Jon into the house. "Where's your bag?" She asked, suddenly. He looked at her blankly. "Your bookbag. Did you forget it at home?" "Yes," he said, quickly.
