Jon shook his head and carefully put the rock away. "I'm sorry; Karyn."

She just rubbed against him and squeaked.

Jon took hold of the rock. "I wish Karyn could talk."

She giggled. "That wasn't necessary. I just didn't have anything to say."

Jon picked her up and kissed her on the end of her mouse nose.
