As soon as the words were out of her mouth, her eye opened wide and her back went straight in shock as her wish was granted. Suddenly she KNEW what was going on. Jon’s uncle, the wish stone, Karyn’s careless wishes. All of it. Anne reeled a bit as the information flooded her brain. It was a truly bizarre feeling for her, having knowledge just suddenly BE there. It took her a moment to try to grasp it, and accept it as real. Karyn and I looked at each other, then at the still dazed zoo keeper. Her wish had obviously been granted. But just how much DID she know? About us I prayed. But.. was this really a GOOD thing? Almost unlimited power had just fallen into her hands. How would she use it? On the other hand, I REALLY didn’t want to be stuck in this cage, in this zoo, with these kittens… And I doubted Karyn wanted to either. Surely she’d help us out. Right? Ann rubbed her head, trying to take everything in. “T. . this is unbelievable… “ she murmured. Then she looked over at Karyn and I. “You’re.. Jon. .and you’re.. Karyn.. . right?” She asked, still looking a bit shocked. We both nodded vigorously. She giggled a bit, still slightly unsteady. “Incredible…” “I’d better….” Anne goes into shock | |
