Kittens to a good home?Episode submitted by WTBPA on Tue Sep 26 01:21:27 2000 Return to Parent Episode "I wish that the zoo had a nice, large habitat for leopards to make them feel at home," Anne said as I braced myself. The world blurred and twisted and I found myself somewhere else. For several moments I couldn't spare attention to look around as the change of location had unsettled some of my kittens and they were mewing unhappily. I growled and fumed at Anne for not thinking about being so careless -- though she probably didn't fully understand yet about how dangerous it was! Once I had finished grooming my kittens and put then to sleep, I looked around. I appeared to be a mixed stone and fake concrete stone cave -- not a particularly large one, though. After a second, I spotted a concealed camera in one corner of the ceiling, too. I growled at it, then stuck my muzzle out of the entrance to look around. Great. I seemed to be in a section of jungle that had been transplanted to the zoo. I could make out the fences and raised catwalks that ran around the perimeter where visitors to the zoo walked. Geeze! I appeared to be a star attraction now. Thrilling. I growled a little, then sniffed at the air. The scents of the plants was kind of nice -- much better than it had been inside that building in a cage. The people were far enough away that I wasn't disturbed by the noise. I could feel the sun shining down on my fur as I flopped down on the stone ledge outside my den. It was a very nice feeling that reminded me just how busy the day had been and just how tired I was now. Just before I fell asleep, I realized that part of Anne's wish was for a place to make me 'feel at home.' I knew I should be alarmed at that, but it was just too hard to stay awake...
