"If anything screwed up the wish, it's the stone. It seems to be good at that." Karyn smiled and hugged my neck again. "Mmm. Thanks, stud," she teased. "But still, why a machine shop?" I would have blushed if I could. "Well, like you said, maybe I end up as a car or something." "That would be so weird! You mean like Knight Riding or whatever the show was?" "Well, maybe with more dignity!" I snorted and flicked an ear. "Or maybe a robot." "Cars?" Karyn looked startled. "A robot? That's getting whacked." I started getting curious now, though.
