Editing and linksEpisode submitted by Zach on Thu Aug 23 18:20:44 2001 Return to Parent Episode Hi DeepFried (and everyone else), Some of you may remember that you used to be able to link betwen existing episodes, but the function was abused so I was forced to remove it. For the same reason you cannot edit episodes. Your link was a little unfortunate as it fell foul to the ->italics rule which is there to allow you to put in some formatting without supporting HTML in posts which again can be abused. I'm sorry that I have to restrict function in this way, but as usual the bad behaviour of the few makes things worse for the rest of us. I may be persuaded to allow a link to be added to an episode outside of the story tree. This would allow linking to other episodes, pictures, references etc. and I think that would be a generally good idea and not too open to abuse. Anyone got any views on that? DeepFried: liked your episode. Nice to have someone write something substantial with some plot and character building. I look forward to seeing more on this thread and I'm especially interested if you are going to be doing some illustrations :-) Regards, Zach. A reply | |
