Jon knew that he and Karen would be great together. He wanted to go to prom with Karen. If he wished that she'd go to prom with him, she might just go as friends or go but not really want to. He made up his mind and softly spoke to himself:

"I wish Karen would go to prom with me, and she found me very attractive and wanted to date me."
