Someone I /ignore

Journal started Oct 22, 2004

Mmm... nice it's 6:08am. I've been going to bed at 8pm lately. I don't know why. It just started working. Maybe it's a fluke, but the last 3 days I've managed not to get sucked into anything after 8pm, and could happily go to sleep. I like getting up early, somehow I seem to have more time that way. On that note, my mom went to work early so she could come home not-late today, and it occurred to me that if she gets there early, she won't have to deal with her annoying coworkers giving her their work because they do not know how to do their job.

Early to bed and early to rise Makes you healthy, wealthy and wise Because you miss all the regular guys. -- Wallace Tripp?

Guh... IRC makes people not nice sometimes. I guessed at something, and was told "That's not it." I asked what it was and the answer was "it's ok Starling, don't worry about it." And then "Don't comment if you are unaware." Finally when I said, "I was exaggerating," the response was "You mean backtracking." And then another "its ok dude" and you can understand why I might not like being called dude. Last thing they said before rolling their eyes and telling me to change the subject was "you can ask about something you don't know about. but don't make blind comments about something you don't know about." So yeah... now I've got them on /ignore for a while. c.c Nice people who act that way I'd rather didn't exist for me. The sad thing is I really want to know why MUCK connections last, and IRC connections quickly fail when my router goes down. I'm very ambivalent towards being talked down to. Now that I look at it, it's probably not SO_KEEPALIVE, since that only takes effect after 2 hours. Perhaps one of the timeout options... hmm.... weird, the MUCK server doesn't change the socket options, and neither does IRC...

And to top it off I can't compile kaffe because it's stoopid about libffi! ;.; Stoopid kaffe... I wanna working java machine...
