She tried knocking loudly, then hid behind the garbage cans. Her head darted from left to right, feeling more and more concerned someone was watching her. Strange new instincts began to overwhelm her, and the garbage cans, the house...everything suddenly seemed gigantic to her. She scouted out a safe place of concealment...a small gap between the bushes under the window and slid in, laying down in the dirt, watching. Interlude 3 | |
