I followed his gaze and saw one of Zoe's friends leaning against a wall, standing apart from the crowd of students pouring through the front doors. When she met my gaze, she waved me over to her. Panic set in. I knew her name -- Athena -- but next to nothing else about her. Zoe rarely brought her school friends over to our home; she preferred to spend time at their houses instead. How was I going to spend the entire school day with someone I barely knew? How was I going to pass as Zoe? Instinctively, I reached for the wishing rock... The other Jon has the stone. | |
