I grabbed my bag and bolted out of the car, my mind whirling. Jon wasn't mad with me, just irritated and in a hurry, but even so I didn't want to risk him using a wish to speed me along. How was I going to get the stone back from him? Would I be able to return to normal? This was bad... In my panic, I had forgotten about Athena until I found her standing in front of me. The smile she had on her face quickly turned to a grimace as she looked over my shoulder. "Oh, great. It's that bitch from senior year. I wonder what she's going to call us today?" I turned around and saw Sarah McMillan bearing down on me, an unpleasant smile on her face. Out of the corner of my eye, I also saw Jon, still sitting in the idling car. His eyes flickered between Sarah, Athena, and me, a look of concern on his face. His lips also seemed to be moving, but at that moment I felt something in my eye. I glanced away... Zoe fits in. | |
