Bizarre Weather

Journal started Oct 3, 2005

The weather has been bizarre today, with scattered surrealism. No, just kidding we have normal weather just like in every water based ecosystem. I mean, sure the Oobleck is annoying but--kidding, kidding! Sun, rain, ice, snow, all water more or less. Currently a beautiful drizzle, and a melodic wind from the east.

I've been studying lemurs lately. They're an odd offshoot of a rodent called the tree shrew, specialized frugivores whose diet enables them to grow larger than the insect eating shrews from which they descend. Very interesting creatures, with the most glorious stripey tails. I haven't met any caretaker lemurs yet, since they're off on the other side of Africa mostly. Just seen some nonsens in the zoo in my mom's city. Mostly I do the book reading, where it comes to exotic animals. Most of the high end transformations here are connected with the oceanography department, so I'd have to transfer to really study lemurs in depth.

I might do my pattern studies report on them though. Either that or zebras. Something about vareigated black and white stripes is just so keen; it has applications instinctual, social and physically. There are some mysticisms about lemur tails that might be worth looking into, though where I'm going to get Big K grape soda I have no idea...
