Gosh darn it... can't people get it through their heads?
Hello? Wake up people, some of us don't have medical insurance. Yes that's right, I am denied employment, education and even something so fundamental as medical treatment. I haven't seen a doctor in almost 3 years now. And I have needed to see one before. The above issues are all things I have had interest in, but have been unable to get help with since I can't afford frinking $90 an hour to talk to the only person authorized to help me out, my PCP.
Remember, when you look down on people for self medicating themselves, that not everyone has the option of seeing a doctor anymore. Many people do not have the option actually. Getting a blood test would literally break what remains of my pitilence of savings. Heaven forbid an X-ray. I wonder if there's a way to administer a self-blood-test...
