English Errors

I am not, nor do I claim to be, an expert of English grammar. However, I can generally pick out common errors when I see them, and when I do, I try to remember them so that I don't fall into the same trap in my own work. What follows is a listing of errors that I have fallen into, errors that I commonly see in other authors' works or tricks that I learned a long time ago. Note: These observations are generally true for the American variant of the English language. Your mileage may vary.
